Uncannnnnnnny. .

The "shadow" is something that haunt us. Once it has scarred us, then it'll scar us forever. It's basically a mental disorder. Some people got robbed before and got held by a knife in the back would most often, look back when they walk down a hall or a street just to check if their safe so they can calm their nerves down. Shadows like that, is better off left alone or be solved before it gets worse.

Everything, that might seem like it's there, might just not not be there. A way to compare to Uncanny with the infamous "Matrix" is that uncanny is based on imagination and the way you desire things is the way you picture it. Maybe the word "desire" isn't the right way to explain it but in the Matrix what you see is not what you think, what you feel might not be what you touched. Everything is a phrase. Uncanny, real life, matrix is just a definition of make believe or fantasy. Whether or not it's a good fantasy or a bad fantasy, it's still a fantasy. Fantasy relates to foreshadowing. Foreshadowing is a self conscientious situation, you picture stuff and imagine the negative stuff. That's why many people are very cautious and aware of where they go, what they do, what they say and how they think. Uncanny and matrix can relate to all these element and all these elements relate to how someone survives through the real world.

My spring break is most definitely safe because i didnt do anything :[. Well i'm glad jason has enjoyed his vacation unlike some of us. Well, on a more important note i got to write about movies and themes. During the movie we watched in class last 2 weeks ago with the spanish artist, I really got into that movie and it really messes your mind up. When i was watching it my head was like WHAT? the things he did, he thought was real but truly didnt happen because he felt like it was a dream and it wasnt and what was a dream he thought it was real. At the end he really needs to stop the illusion because his whole life he was living a dream and if i was him i would jump off a building too if that happened to me. It's kind of scary living a life that you not even sure if its real and then when you wake up you live it all over again but then when you wake up you find out that waking up was a dream and illusion. Thats messed up.

Oh boy, the ideas in my head makes me feel like i can say alot because i really want to put my words out. I am not only doing this final project to get a grade but just to realize my inner thoughts to the class. Our topic is a must to relate to media of course because we're in the media cluster. I want to state what i want to write about and it's a large topic but i'll try to skim it down to a specific topic to one main thought. In order to state from there I would state the problem which is today's music media. The rap music is a good creation of music but throughout the years the songs has very sexual lyrics towards girls and i see a problem with that. It gives the world a icon that the sex females has a lower standard then man because in their lyrics we are most oftenly a toy, a fling, a one night stand, and in most lyrics a "bitch" or something you can "bang". I find it very disrespectful. Although some songs I understand they want to state the important of females in their SEX life but they used the wrong terms and ways of showing it. If songs like this continously change the way people look at women then women nowadays is going to go back to back in the days where woman has no right and no say because man is the main sex that everyone would need. I would go into a more smaller topic that has connections with martin luther king and rosa park because they basically risk their lifes for our freedom and we slowly let these victims hurt by letting music media change the faces of us independent lady.

Virtual Cinema

According to my past experience, movies such as "The Human Reaction" and the "The Royale" has been very similar to the movie "Matrix". It's very significant and it has a similar theme. The theme of all these movies is the illusion theme. All these movies has a sense of illusion and someone wants to take over their existing life or place. It's a miracle that i understood these movies because when you watch all these movies at once, when your tv shuts off, then your going to be falling into a world and believing what happen in the movie is happening to you. It's a kind of freaking feeling. In the movie matrix and the royale john and neo had similar similarties. There was always someone there chasing them just to get to what they want to succeed in their goal. As in the Star Trek, honestly I really didnt connect with the movie therefore i cant really make much connections to matrix. the movie lost my train of understanding the illusion world unlike the movie matrix and royale. Both movies show a sense of confusion in both main characters and victims. It's not that the people that are trying to take over their lives are harmful such as Morpheus and the Aliens but they just want to show these people that lives in the matrix what is REAL and what is an illusion. They just want to show you the truth and make them believe is better off living in the REAL world rather than the illusional world. If we look at different aspect, the movie MATRIX has many different way of looking at it. Ways such as religion wise, belief wise, and certainly the way your taught and rise wise. Things that might be common to you might not be common to someone else because the way you are taught and rise as soon as you were born and blessed by your guardians. Well that dont sound too right but you know what i mean. All these movies kind of make me remember the movie i watched from back when i was younger. The movie name is called Matilda, why? well it makes me think about it because neo didnt believe he can be the "one" when he actually belief in himself and he used his powers for good use and in Matilda's case she had the same situation and she used it on revenge. I believe every movie can relate to one another in one way or another.

Human vs. Machine

According to my acknowledge, I would judge the movies we watch as the most oddest movie. Therefore, it takes alot to understanding to comprehend the point of view the author wants you to understand. I'm pretty sure "Macbeth" a movie i saw by shakespeare was more easier to comprehend than star trek. Star trek was a movie i couldn't see myself keeping awake through out. But i've noticed a few things. During "The Royale", I was paying full attention because the modern theme caught my attention. It was very interesting how john was so easily adapted to the out side of space and understand the language of the Aliens's within 7 months fluently. That's OUTSTANDING! Last week we watched two very unique movie that has many relations to the matrix. Similarities such as costume, behaviors, themes, and the way of thinking of species. Everyone, wants something they can't have. It's a natural reaction in a living thing such as human , pets , animals and other living things. People or "we" live life to the fullest and the only motive of living a life is to improve it in many ways or the best you can. You'll always want things u cant have. Conquering is the best verb you can describe humans when they want and need.Most humans live to get what they cant have and not appreciate what they already have. It's scientifiically proven. In the matrix, everything was based on illusion. Illusion is something you want to believe is real and it can either help you from reality or hurt you by reality. John was going crazy because he finally realize what he saw, wasnt real in the first place and everything was an illusion. So it drove him crazy. In matrix the part where Neo was fighting Morpheus at a old japanese room was an illusion and in Farscape, John was screaming at people he thought he knows especially the guy when he screamed " i date your sister", it was funny but the point is everything you might have a past with would help you draw an conclusion of what you want to think is real.

Matrix . . .

I never really was interested in this movie "Matrix". However, during class on Thursday I watched it. It totally changed my point of view of the movie. The movie will eventually make you wonder, if your living in the "real world". After class i was like thinking to myself if what i'm doing was real. Maybe, what i'm living is a fake. The matrix's director is a clever man. To make this movie, there was many training and such. The actors and actress was trained by Hong Kong's best kung fu masters. It was funny because while i was watching the documentary, one of the hong kong master was speaking in cantonese and i understood it. However I laughed im not sure if the class notice but i cracked up cuz while they were filming them training the master was like cursing in chinese lolllll it was something like "holy fuck" lol.. I admire the actresses for being so dedicated to training. It took them about three years of training to perfect the movie's fighting scenes. The designs and costumes really can explain the movie in many ways. It shows the time and setting. Also shows the power and ability the character has. Actress for matrix are also like students doing researches and reading before the big shots. Therefore they read the book " out of control" before acting. The slow motions in the movie did make the movie more detailed. Some actors can't do some moves therefore they have subs of course. The hong kong master said that it normally takes 2 weeks for training to succeed but these actors have few spins and already dizzy which isnt a good foot to start on. The main character has injured his neck therefore it's going to be harsh for him to make dramatic moves in the movie. After watching this movie, it makes me like the movie alot and it makes me appreciate it because it took so much planning and thinking into this movie. Us, viewers simply watch an action movie and such and only talk about the story line but never talk about behind the scenes of the movie. That's why i always preferr watching it on dvd because it shows in the making. Last thursday I beleive was a good ending to the week with a nice movie.

Third day . . .

Well, it's the third day of school. Each day gets better because I'm getting the hang of having 7 class at a time. =/ Today's weather sucks, so I'm planning to get some fresh air and go work out at hunter college for some handball and racket ball. I feel ginormous and my guts popping out. You would think im nuts cuz you wont see it among all my lose clothes. Well one more day of school and then a 3 day weekend :] I diggg. Have a nice day.
